Kestreloath's pelt is no doubt the most unique part of his physicality. It is a frosted, peachy color with very light ginger bits underneath the first layer of fur. This pelt is never seen unkempt or dull. He keeps it shining and in place. Its beautiful sheen is pleasing to the eye.
This cat's ears are very unique from other's. They curl inward at the ends, making pale fur bits spurt off the tips. Both of his ears are very soft and fuzzy, to the point where the inner ear even erupts with peachy fuzz. These small ears are very pretty in many ways.
This medicine cat's emerald green eyes are extremely vivid and handsome. It's as if they can pull you in while he's talking to you. If you look into them long enough, you may think that he's boring into your soul... but in a good way. A... majestic way. They can be compared to the color of bright moss that shines with the dew of the morning.
Kestreloath's body structure is consisting of a small frame from which not much muscle mass hangs. He appears muscular from his long, glorious fur, although he is not at all. He does get some from chasing after herbs and doing his medicine cat work, but that isn't very much as any medicine cat would know.

[p e r s o n a l i t y
Kestreloath is a beautiful cat on the inside, as well as the outside. He always knows just what to say to make a cat feel better about itself. He is understanding and, once he gets interested or hooked on an issue, he won't let go until he's solved it. Because of this, he can be over-analytical and it's likely that many cats get annoyed at him for delving too deep in the problems they've brought to him. But, he's only doing his job and being himself when he does this.
This young tom cat likes to hide his emotions from others. He has trained himself to not give them away unless he is willing to. He reads others' well, but no one can read him. This is a unique talent he has acquired over his moons and one he plans to keep over the many moons that lay before him.
He is one of these cats who go by the motto, "seize the day." Whenever an oppurtunity opens up, he snatches it. He is very spontaneous and will do anything to cheer someone up. This is what makes him a very lovable cat- his cheerful, bright personality. He is a cat that you can depend on for anything. If you need a helping paw, he's there. If you need a shoulder to cry on, he's there. He would much rather help others with their problems rather than sit around and pity himself for his own.
Kestreloath is a sweet, caring young tom. He is the epitemy of a true SunsetClanner- loyal, brave, and courageous. He is a true StarClan believer and would never miss a chance to fight for them. He is always ready to defend his Clan, which he loves so much. He would never leave SunsetClan. He loves it for many reasons. Perhaps it is the lush, green grass of the territory, or maybe it's the sparkling river or blossom coves. It might be the way the branches of the maples, birches, and hollies sway in the slightest breeze.
Kestreloath is a true medicine cat, in many ways. He loves caring for others, whether it involves helping them mentally or physically. He has a strong bond with StarClan, and he loves herbs. He knows everything about them- their uses, where to find them, and what they look like. His favorite place to be is out on the territory searching for herbs, and he usually finds them on the lively, vivid lands that he proudly calls home.

--Kithood
Kestrelkit was born in green-leaf to a scrawny warrior named Maplegleam and her mate, Ebonydancer. They were so proud to have such a promising young, strong kit, even if it was their only one. Although Kestrelkit was born extremely healthy, his birth severely weakened his mother. While birthing her son, she lost a lot of blood and, in doing that, lost some white blood cells, which caused her to get sick very easily. This sickness she had caught so quickly was greencough, a horrible, vicious disease whose symptoms were fever and coughing, which Maplegleam did a lot of in the several sunrises after Kestrelkit's birth. She took herbs every day, and improved a little, but not much. It got to the point where they had to move Maplegleam into the medicine cat's den. She protested greatly to the quarantine... She wanted to be with her kit and be able to see her mate, but she could not. The night they moved her was the last time she saw Kestrelkit or Ebonydancer. Ebonydancer sat vigil for her the night after, and stayed as strong as he could for his growing kit.
Since Kestrelkit didn't understand or know what death was, he was unaffected by this grief, although he did wonder where his beloved mother had gone. His father said that she had gone to live where cats looked like stars, he told his son that this was a place for cats who were the purest of heart, sweetest of personality, and the sharpest of claw. This made him very proud to call Maplegleam his mother, and for moons until he became an apprentice and learned the truth, he strutted around camp telling every cat about how great and excellent his mother was.
He always wondered why their faces looked so sad when he said this.
--Apprenticeship
Kestrelpaw was apprenticed to the medicine cat that had tried to save his mother. The day that he had been apprenticed, Tawnytail had told him the truth about his mother. He felt so depressed as he felt down in his den that night, that he almost wished he would never wake up. But he knew that he couldn't be that way. He had to keep a good outlook. He knew he had cats to take care of and dreams from Silverpelt to have. He vowed to himself that he would be strong for Ebonydancer, himself, and the rest of his Clan, just as they were for him.
Kestrelpaw grew very attached to being a medicine cat and just knew that it was his chosen, destined path. He loved smelling the herbs each time he awoke and each time he walked into the den. He enjoyed getting dreams from StarClan and helping other cats, no matter how intense their need was. It was something he knew that he was truly meant to do, no matter what happened. And his enthusiasm for it fueled his ever-growing skill. He knew everything about being a medicine cat by the time he was twelve moons old. He grew very eager to be given his full medicine cat name, and this was soon granted to him... but not before that fateful moon.
---
In a certain leaf-bare, many cats were sick with a very minor case of greencough. Tawnytail and Kestrelpaw worked as hard as they could to cure them, and they all were cured in a mere moon except for one... Tawnytail herself. In being around so many affected cats, the aging medicine cat caught the more severe case of greencough. Kestrelpaw learned that hers was similar to his mother's, and he was determined to not let it defeat someone close to him yet again. He even made the leader send out herb patrols. He educated all cats on herbs, so when they ventured out of camp, they would know what to look for. The whole Clan was helping the young cat fight this battle, but it wasn't working. Tawnytail's health continued to decline until the disease, with the help of the frigid wind, took her life one night. This devastated him. It seemed to devastate him even moreso than the rest of the Clan, which made Kestrelpaw livid at his Clanmates. How could they not be depressed? How could they not feel the pain of this death? He could not answer these questions, but Ebonydancer helped ease Kestrelpaw's pain.
Soon the young cat was given his full name, Kestreloath, for his unfailing devotion to his Clan.
--Warriorhood
Although Kestreloath blamed himself for Tawnytail's death, he promised to himself that he would try his hardest to be the best he could be for all of SunsetClan. From that moment on, he devoted his life to helping others and being a shining light for all cats who felt like they were trapped in a world of darkness.
Ever since, he has prevented many greencough outbreaks, and hopes to do so in the moons to come.

[i c
Kestreloath's frosted peach pelt glimmered in the sunlight that peeked through his den. He poked his head out of the portico. He noticed that many cats weren't up yet, so he decided to take the moment to look for some herbs while he wasn't busy tending to others. He quietly padded out of camp and into the grassy territory of SunsetClan. He let the sunshine that shone through the canopy of maples warm his light fur. It had been a cold night, and the medicine cat's den was very drafty.
Since no one was looking, the tom let out a yawn so big and disgusting, that a whole hoarde of badgers would've ran for their mothers at the sound of it. But, in the process, he picked up the sweet, crisp scent of mint and followed the trail it left in the wind currents. He always sniffed for herbs in the breeze, just as warriors tried to pick up the scent of prey when they hunted. Being a medicine cat was a lot like being a warrior in many ways, but he felt too lazy to think about them. Plus he was coming upon the herb patch and needed to save his energy for gathering the mint.
He shoved past the deathberry bush that blocked his way to the small clearing that was home to many herbs. He had forgotten about this place, but now he remembered that Tawnytail had brought him here so many times as an apprentice. It had always been so teeming with plant life. It was very welcoming. Every time you entered it, you were greeted by the mingled scent of herbs and the overpowering smell of prey. But it wasn't the prey he was interested in.
He looked around and quickly noted the rich, green leaves that he needed for his stock. He began to pad toward them, stepping in only certain spots so that he wouldn't crush the herbs he might need later. He lowered his delicate head and flicked his ears as long blades of grass tickled the fur inside them. Soon, his jaws were full of the green plant. Its sweet, crisp juice flowed from the stem onto his tongue. He hoped it would stop leaking soon- the juice was one of the two parts he needed, including the leaves, which he could chew into a poultice to soothe a sick cat's throat.
He turned on his heel, ready to leave, but something made him not want to leave. Maybe it was the sweet scent or the comforting way the sun warmed his fur... But he had to go back to camp. There were other duties to do and other problems to attend to. He sauntered onward and shoved through the red-adorned bush once again, careful not to get any of the rotten berries' juice on the mint. He would feel terrible if a cat died from his careless mistake. He shuddered as he waltzed back into SunsetClan camp.
But his thoughts were soon interrupted by the cheerful hustle and bustle of the normal mid-morning activity. He grinned and bounded to his den, eager to put away the herbs and get on with the rest of his day. Who knew what it had in store for him? He sure didn't, but he was always eager to find out.

IV. THE QUESTIONS

Have you had Medicine Cat experience before? Yes.
If so, please list the sites you have. http://warriorsforest.proboards39.com (Many others, but they have been either lost or deleted. I'm not lazy, I swear! <33)
Are you acquainted with all of the herbs, conditions, and limitations? Yes.
Why do you feel you are suitable for this position? I feel that I am suitable because I am really dedicated to the position of medicine cat. I really love being a meddy. Secondly, I know herbs. Everything about herbs, you can guarantee I know it. Third, I have a lot of staff experience and I'm willing to help any member in need out. I know how to deal with having a high position.
How dedicated are you to this role? As I said above, I LOVE being a medicine cat. I could never imagine truly wanting to be anything else. Being a medicine cat is fun, because the characters look to you to care about them, and that's something that's really, really important to me. I'd do anything to be a meddy.
Are you willing to give up another position for that of Medicine Cat? NO WAY!!!
What makes your Medicine Cat skills different and important? I know the herbs back and forth. I know their uses, appearances, and symptoms. But I also know that herbs are not the only important responsibility of a medicine cat. You have to attend the meetings every half-moon, take care of cats, and help your fellow members in the OOC's. Being a medicine cat stretched farther than the IC's. You have to care about your members, too, which I do. <33
